Papaya Pilgrims 20

A pretty easy day. . . Make coffee and take it to the adirondacks to sit. Breadast is yogurt and blueberry belvita. Finish packing, strip bed and take garbage out. Return car and drive to the airport. All is easy and the flight goes smoothly with two red wines and two movies. Ed bought digi players for Dan and Me. Jackie and A girl on the Train were excellent as was Pilgrim;) Took good care of the hat! Left my MAC lipstick;-/

Sat. Last full day! Pilgrim eats and we get out for his walk and business. Home for breakfast: finish granola and almond milk, papaya too. This bird doesn't miss a meal! We run into town to pay Mark $400. Garden Isle 3 Then texted to say we'll see you on Anini. They go shop we buy two sandwiches so we can spend all day chilling. Cocktails at Webers while March Madness plays on TV. Dan goes to Foodland for a dinner steak. I make salad.

Slept in slow start. I make Dan a beautiful breakfast,first one in two weeks. Drive into Hanalei town to visit mark Daniels Gallery. We choose this one❤️ Ed and Marilyn are going to Lihue to pick up their guests Uncle Paul and Melba. First we swing by the Dolphin for lunch, calamari and striped marlin charbroiled on a salad. Then we spot a sweet painting which Mark agrees to giclee to our specs for the new bathroom;) Then we buy three T shirts for Aden's birthday in April. Drive to a remote Hanalei Bay beach to chill until we hear from Webers. They invite us home for a drink and we return to the Cliffs to meet the family. No drinks were rendered. Ed was super excited about this albatross:) indeed! We scooted back to town to enjoy one last Slack key concert. They greet us warmly. Doug loves Pilgrim and talk eyes. His are going too. He takes. Breath.sound. sensation Breath sound sensation Urgent. piercing. excitement! Kauai pre dawn Or Sight slowly arises. Up to experience dawn, make coffee, wake up lover with new found talent: lovely hula hands. Breakfast auntie's fresh grapefruit, papaya and banana. Ready at 9:00 to shop with Marilyn in the Jeep.  I buy hat, flip flops, patterned teal wrap, seasoning for Ed Is steak paniol0. Dan walks Pilgrim;) Home and get right out to the beach! We swing by Pat's Taqueria but hes gone... so home for nibbles. Mac salad wrapped in a lettuce leaf. With red wine of course. Then i walk Pilgrim and call dad. Hes in bed. Off to beer and wine tasting on the bluff. We know Earle Mary dana Dale meet the Bruns and Dale's wife Cathy. At six mahalos and we get salad and ice cream for dinner with the Webers. Dan grills chicken thighs and i put lily flowers in Marilyn's hair. Very personal and lovely. We eat at 7:00 Then home to early bedtime

Sitting and breathing the air is warmer this morning. The birds just sing for about halfhour then quiet. I go back to bed and rest. Coffee calls. . . Loving the decaf/ caffeinated these two weeks! Energy. Fruit and granola. Then we pack for Limahuli Gardens. I wear lavender like I chose for our wedding and 10 year anniversary. It was muggy with vog. Pilgrim was really thirsty. Dan and I hiked to the top and spotted a nook. We set ourhats down and i removed my shoes for this is hallowed ground! I told Dan why I originally loved him and how I now loved him with and know our love will just deepen more until death do us part. "With this lei I thee wed." Andhe spoke to me of his love and gratitude. Ed and Marilyn took photos and were great to share our joy. Jambalaya soup for Lent. We settled on Kepuhi Beach and watched huge waves and a surfer. I walked Pilgrim and saw two monk seals down the way. Home to rest:) hula-lessons on the bluff with Primrose and Randy. We

Tuesday Up early to enjoy the breeze. Find myself swaying and moving in rhythm.  We spot our first whale frolicking off shore. Most have moved through;) Dan has had enough of our granola and fruit breakfasts. He wants to pick up eggs and bacon for our anniversary day.hes slightly crabby about it. We take Ed and Marilyn to Anini for a warm day of sunning, beer and snacks.  Marilyn takes Pilgrim for a walk. Then lunch at the Kilauea Fish Market. So yummy!!! We have some fruit shopping to do and swing through Banana Joes. Dan buys papaya and bananas. We have four more days here. At home we smear on the aloe vera on our reddened bodies.. Jahnavee has a few more interview questions for Dan and me. We take turns calling at 4:00 and 4:30. I paint and bring the palette back to harmony and increase values. I decide against yoga. My hair is washed and blow dried for our vows tomorrow. I choose to relax. We watch Lester Holt and heat a lasagne to go with our salad. Marilyn and Ed bicy

Breakfast with the cardinal. . . Who loves Anahola Granola! Ed and Marilyn pick us up and we spend four hours st Mo oloaa Beach. High surf so we don't go in but its dandy:) Home at two for a lunch of leftovers and the cardinal is waiting for us;) i call Dad and paint until it's time for the owner's reception. Earle and Mary are there and their gusts Dale and Jeanne. He is a blind attorney ;blind to a corneal disease. He is interested in getting a guidedog. Earle writes a All are One Poem and reads it to us:) Dinner at Ed and Marilyn's is mahi mahi, salad and rice. Dessert is coconut chips, chocolate mac nuts and kettle corn. Served wth that yummy JAM wine. Home to bed, sunburned and happy.

Up early to sit. The moon is so different! White not gold and higher in the sky. Somewhere daylight savings time begins, but not here. Sitting quietly Starry swath of stars, gold moon Coddled, luminous. Golden moon coin sets Anchoring bones and soft breath. Palms like prayers  ascend We ready ourselves for UCC Church  of the Pacific. The pianist a 12 yr old boy, the ukelele player 13. It was retirement day for the pastor. I wanted Lent. The reading from Romans spoke to Faith. We introduced ourselves and were chosen to receive two tuberose leis! After worship we drove to Walmart for potty bags for Pilgrim and then to the Lihue Airport to pick up Ed and Marilyn. They were happily surprised! We honored them with leis We transported  to Alamo and they got the last Jeep in stock;) We drove to Kapaa for lunch at the Olympic Cafe. Dan was hungry for a burger and I savored the Kauai wrap! Feeling flat today. Giving up a beach day for welcoming. Cramps after lunch so I laid low, then pain

  Up at 6. Lay on my back to watch stars. And moon!! Write a haiku: Sitting quietly Starry swath of stars, gold moon Coddled, luminous. Golden moon coin sets Anchoring bones and breathing Palms like prayers  ascend Gold moon disc setting Resting into bones and breath Palms like prayers arise Back to bed but I don't sleep. Then really up at 7:30. We still have banana bread, papaya and peach yogurt. Thats a quick breakfast! We go to activity presentation at 8:30, for a massage:) ava Marie works on me for 10 minutes and its quite helpful! Then to Kilauea for Farmers Market. A blue dragon Kombuch a(blueberry lavendar)... lassgna, salad greens, cilantro and papaya. We drive to Anini again because its so easy: clean and shady. We stay until 2. Lapping up the sun. I study my Lenten reading on waiting.  Hunger sets in so we buy an ahi wrap at The Kiluaea Fish Market and come home to eat. Its a perfect day st 80 degrees. Ed and Marilyn will be here in the morning!!! Excited. Dan goe

Up early to watch chickens 'burst' from nighttime tree roosts. No chickens today:-/ But poetry floods my heart: Taupe vellux blanket Skims flesh, ribs, channel of breath As palms softly clatter Envelope of sky Reveals cloud, ocean,palm. Sacred daybreak space. Through clouded ear jam Peeps tweets whistles echo Chanting thanks to God Mac nut cream Pie for breakfast Fruit plate Granola 'sprinkles' Head to Kilauea Lighthouse Rained out, no whales Anini Beach time Hanalei Gourmet lunch Reuben and Hanalei Waldorf. (. Window) shopping Drive to Hanalei Colony Resort to look at art McMasters for slack key at 4:00. I wrote to ask sandy if they had an Animal Spirit presentation. She didn't write back. Ut incorporated dragonfly, turtles, shama bird, on the fly. Fed Pilgrim at 5, then stayed until 7 visiting! Home at sunset to lasagna salad and wine;) Watched the Butler until Netflix died and went to bed, only taking 1/2 melatonin now and able to awaken at 6 am
